Information and Solutions

What is an aerobic septic system?

An aerobic septic system, often referred to as an aerobic treatment system (ATS), is a type of OSSF that employs aerobic bacteria to decompose sewage. In contrast to conventional anaerobic septic systems, which depend on bacteria that thrive in low-oxygen environments, aerobic systems inject oxygen into the treatment process, greatly enhancing the breakdown of organic waste. This process leads to cleaner effluent.

We do not service anaerobic septic systems, nor do we pump anaerobic tanks.

What does OSSF even mean?

OSSF stands for on-site sewage facility. All septic systems are classified as on-site sewage facilities. For information about On-Site Sewage Facilities (Septic Systems): Information for Homeowners - Texas Commission on Environmental Quality - www.tceq.texas.gov

Aerobic Septic Maintenance and Inspections

The State of Texas and its counties require a contract with a licensed maintenance provider for aerobic septic system maintenance. Most contracts are for a period of one year, although we also offer two-year initial contracts for newly installed aerobic systems. Renewal is necessary one month prior to expiration to ensure compliance with regulations. Let us assist you in staying up to date with county requirements and avoid late fees.

Service and Repair

If your aerobic septic system is experiencing issues, our team is here to help with effective aerobic septic system repairs. We provide fast and reliable service, including fixing leaks, replacing damaged components, and practically anything else.

OSSF Upgrades and Additions

If your OSSF is outdated or not functioning efficiently, it may be time for an upgrade. We offer a range of aerobic upgrades to enhance your system's performance and help you save on costs over time.

Even if you need a whole new system installed, don't hesitate to reach out. We work with other local companies and contractors to find the best solution, whether you are replacing an anaerobic system or adding an additional aerobic system to your existing setup. We can help!
